Archibald Holtzhausen is known as a make-it-happen-outcome-driven specialist.

Although he has the ability deliver complex transformational programmes, his real strength is to realise change through primary focus on people change and sponsor management complimented by solid programme management principles.

He had a rich career that started during 1984 as a research specialist at the University of Stellenbosch. He later joined the Human Sciences Research Council as Programme co-ordinator for all national Natural Language Processing projects. 

Archibald joined the Q Data Group as a strategy consultant.  He had various assignments and worked for various business units in the current BCX (clients included Transtel, Department of Health, SA Breweries, Independent Electoral Commission, Amscor, Sappi, Sasol, Nedcor Retail Bank, Absa).  The highlight of career as consultant was when he programme managed the “Establishment of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC)”.

Archibald’s last position was at Absa (17 years)  until March 2022 with a track record for delivering complex programmes for various chief executives.

Archibald is passionate towards life where he

  • Strives to create organizational environments where employees can be the best version of themselves
  • Reach out to communities and look actively for opportunities where he can make a difference in the lives of less privileged people (2010: winner of the Mail & Guardian award for the most sustainable corporate social initiative in Africa)
  • Is constantly participating in endurance sport events (marathon, triathlons, Ironman) and strives to live a healthy life style.
  • Is known as a “family first” person.
